Building Envelope
Ground Insulation
A layer of insulation is laid over the ground and foundation footings, isolating the interior environment from heat stripping the ground beneath.
Strong Foundations
ICF (insulated concrete forms) foundation walls are highly efficient and replace the need for conventional foundation methods. Retrospectively adding a higher R Value to your home.
Efficient membranes are used underground to ensure basement dryness, additional framing and plastic barriers are not needed this way, saving waste and material usage.
Advanced Wall Systems
Double studded framing is when two walls are separated to eliminate thermal bridging/ it provides a deep cavity for high insulation levels. the exterior wall for struck load bearing is separated from the interior for thickness up to 16”
HP+ can range from R25-R50. its engineered for strength, durability and efficiency.
Window & Doors
High quality frames with certified sealing systems plus triple glazing and Low Emission (Low - E) windows optimize for solar gain and shielding.
Attic Insulation
Significant attic insulation in appropriate places greatly reduce heat loss and heat gain. Extra ventilation will also ensure that you have a reduction in heat extension during the summer and eliminate condensation during the winter.
Passive Solar
South facing windows allow energy from the sub to be absorbed by the thermal mass of the concrete floors. This gathers heat in the daytime and releasing in the night.
